BMI (Body Mass Index)
BMI or Body Mass Index is used by most obesity researchers to determine if
an individual is at health risk from excess weight. BMI utilizes a simple calculation based
on weight and height to assess healthy risk. A BMI greater than 25 correlates with the health
risks associated with obesity; diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, and
certain cancers.
